I'm Wes (she/her), as you read! It's short for Westbrook. I am a genderfluid adult & align most closely with a feminine gay man (I only say this because I don't want to give anyone the impression that I think Esteban isn't gay. Cuz he super is.) I'm interested in children's media, collecting merchandise, DIY, etc..

I am currently working as a sewist and developing my apparel skills! I hope to one day be knowledgable enough to create my own cosplays and fandom-inspired garments.

I started watching Elena of Avalor on Christmas Eve, 2024. I fell in love with Esteban a few months later, after finishing the show. Until the finale, I was actually quite apprehensive about liking him, and it was only once he proved his willingness to improve in the finale episode that I finally gave in. His story strikes a chord close to my heart, and I happened to be watching EoA while going through similar struggles w/ personhood & bad decisions in real life, so he came along at the perfect time. Although, obviously, my decisions were not quite so grievous as his. (My aunts and uncles are very much alive!)

The point is, Esteban's willingness to keep trying again, even when he has seemingly ruined everything, really inspires me. I have always valued self-improvement above all else, and I think without him, I would have lost sight of that value. Even if it's silly, I feel a little less alone and a lot less lost because of him.
